Poweramp's pit-mounted Mechanical Dock Leveler gives you dependable performance, quality construction, and an affordable price, everything you're looking for in a mechanical dock leveler.
This Dock Leveler features industry rated capacities of 20,000 to 40,000 lbs., and provides access to trailers either 12 inches above or below dock level.
By pulling the unit's release ring, the mechanical spring counterbalance lifts the deck, and the lip automatically extends. Walking towards the lip slowly lowers the leveler onto the back of the trailer. For storage, pull the ring again and walk the levelers down so that the lip stores in the keepers. Like the mechanical Poweramp Series, all lubrication points and counterbalance adjustments are easily accessible.

Edge-of-Dock Levelers

edge of dock leveler Edge-of-dock levelers are affordable alternatives to portable plates. They mount directly to the dock face and provide a working range of 5 inches above or below dock. Two standard 14-inch bumper blocks are furnished.
Mechanical Designs utilize a reliable dual extension spring mechanism to provide lifting power. As an option, a removable, self-storing lever lets you operate the unit with two short strokes, facilitating dock operation. The leveler, then, automatically returns to its stored position upon truck departure. Hydraulic Models offer push-button convenience and safety. You control the extension and retraction of the deck. A separate cylinder operates the hydraulic lip lock to automatically release upon contact with a trailer.

Powered Loading Docks

powered loading dock

A surface or pit-mounted scissors dock provides a permanent yet low-cost solution for loading/unloading trucks.

Excellent for retail locations and other applications where loads are 5,000 to 10,000 lbs. Travel height is 60". Pit mounting means components can't be easily damaged by trucker abuse.

PowerHook II Truck Restraints

The safety of your material handling operation begins with an effective, dependable truck restraining system. Throughout loading and unloading operations, Poweramp's PowerHook II™ truck restraint closes the safety gap between dock and trailer. A preprogrammed electronic controller activates the hook from within its recessed position behind the pit wall. The hook extends, rises and retracts until a firm hold on the trailer's ICC bar is obtained. For added safety, PowerHook II will not permit leveler operation until the hook is engaged. Tested to withstand a pulling force of 35,000 lbs.

Dock safety depends on many factors: alert, safety-conscious personnel; equipment that's in good operating condition; and, most important, a reliable truck restraining system. A restraining system such as the hydraulic PowerHook II™ from Poweramp.

The PowerHook II™ truck restraint is the only device available that seeks, finds and maintains a tight continuous hold on the ICC bar throughout loading and unloading operations. It's programmed to operate both vertically and longitudinally to eliminate any gap between the hook and ICC bar, effectively eliminating "trailer creep." For added safety, when PowerHook II™ is equipped with the leveler interlock option, it will not permit leveler operation until the hook is engaged.

The PowerHook™ II KS5 pan-type truck restraint is an economical retrofit for hydraulic dock levelers. All that's required is a minimum 44" dock height.

PowerHook II™ is firmly anchored in the loading dock pit for maximum holding power, and the hook remains protected behind the pit wall until activated. The PowerHook II restraint is designed to withstand a pulling force of 35,000 lbs., giving you an extra margin of safety and protection. PowerHook II operates within a 20" vertical ; 10" to 30" is standard. Its horizontal range is 1" to 15" from the building.
